A Halloween-Inspired Workshop for Mental Health Professionals

Mental health professionals spend much of their time helping others face difficult emotions, but what happens when we become afraid to acknowledge our own exhaustion, resentment, limits, or need for care?

Self-SCARE is an experiential Halloween-inspired workshop exploring the parts of professional self-care we often avoid. Through reflection, creative activities, and meaningful conversation, participants will identify what is quietly draining them, examine the fears that keep them overextended, and develop more sustainable ways of caring for themselves within their clinical work.

Rather than offering another list of wellness strategies, this workshop invites clinicians to look beneath the surface: at perfectionism, over-responsibility, boundary guilt, compassion fatigue, and the pressure to remain endlessly available. Participants will leave with practical tools, renewed self-awareness, and a personalized plan for protecting their energy without disconnecting from the work they value.

Costumes, seasonal attire, and a little Halloween playfulness are encouraged!
