With over two decades of experience in social work practice, Dorothy Garza is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker-Supervisor (LCSW-S) dedicated to serving children, adolescents, and adults. Her work has spanned diverse settings, including non-profits, schools, state agencies, and universities. She has helped clients address issues related to life transitions, anxiety, depression, and grief with school-aged children to adults.
As someone with lived experience as a parent, caregiver, and person of color, Dorothy brings a deeply empathetic, culturally informed and practical approach to her practice. Dorothy utilizes a broad scope of therapeutic modalities and strategies to work in collaboration with individuals to reach their mental health goals. Foundational to her practice is utilizing a strengths-based, solution focused perspective.
Dorothy is accepting new clients age 12+. Her preference is that clients 18 and younger are scheduled for in-person sessions. Adult clients can choose in-person or telehealth sessions. Dorothy is available for in-person sessions at the Westlake location.
