What Just Happened?
Texas lawmakers wrap up their 2025 legislative session on June 2—and the outcomes matter deeply for our clients. This follow-up training from the March 7 “Affirming Care” Presentation will give mental health professionals a clear, digestible overview of the bills that passed (or didn’t), with a focus on how new and proposed laws impact LGBTQIA+ communities, youth and families, and other vulnerable populations.
Presented by attorneys from Soliz Coleman, PLLC, this 75-minute session will break down the implications for clinical practice and client safety.
Learning Objectives:
Which laws and bills passed—and what they actually mean
Implications for clinical ethics and client advocacy
Updates related to gender-affirming care, parental rights, and access to services
Action steps for staying engaged, informed, and prepared
The session will include a Q&A segment.
