In order to be credentialed as an LCSW-Supervisor, BHEC requires the LCSW to have been licensed for two years.
This training requires 40 hours of learning. Three days will be in-person for Austin Trainings. There will be pre and post training hours that are conducted independently and participants will receive assignments and direction.

The Supervisor’s Compass is much more than your typical training. This training is designed with the cohort in mind. From our experience, we understand there is often a significant gap between taking a 40-hour LCSW Supervision Course and actually launching a supervision practice. Our training model includes support and mentorship beyond the training course to help LCSW-Supervisors navigate the action-oriented steps!
This course is offered at $995 (early bird $895) and includes in person training with four experienced LCSW-Supervisors and access to consultation for a period of time after the course.
The Austin courses are held over three days.
The Costa Rica course is held over 6 days and 5 nights. Pricing for this training includes the course fee, accommodations, and meals. See Costa Rica section for more details about the retreat+training experience.

This is a one-of-a-kind offering to engage in a group international retreat experience while also obtaining LCSW-Supervision training. Salvatierra is an eco-luxury resort that is beloved by our faculty. While hosting a retreat in summer of 2026, Carly had the idea of bringing a group of LCSWs here for a completely experiential training, while also receiving what most of us need….a nervous system reset and true time in nature, play & rest. We decided we can utilize this Blue Zone as a playground for our experiential learning, cohort development and supervision offering. Additionally, learning in nature and unplugging from personal life and business will allow participants to have an immersive experience that will change the way they supervise. Also, this is a business expense, so take advantage!

Austin Trainings

Join us in Austin, Texas at Moonstone Counseling for three days of in-person training with your faculty. This engaging training will cover the required elements to become an LCSW-Supervisor….but will offer so much more. After the training, the faculty will continue to support the cohort for a period of time in order to offer ongoing consultation for business development and supervision practice launching.
This is an immersive 40-hour training for Texas social workers seeking to become LCSW-Supervisors. Blending self-paced learning with an in-person experience the course moves beyond the fundamentals of rules and requirements to explore supervision as a relational, reflective, and creative practice. Grounded in ethics, supervision theory, trauma-informed care, cultural humility, and decolonizing perspectives, participants will develop practical skills while cultivating their own authentic philosophy of supervision—one rooted in curiosity, connection, accountability, and growth.
Costa Rica Retreat & Training
Summer 2027 (July 5-10) | $1950 (shared), $2450 (private) Early Bird Rate (ends January 10)
This is a one-of-a-kind offering to immerse yourself with a cohort for the full training in an eco-luxury resort in Costa Rica. You will spend 6 days and 5 nights at Salvatierra and enjoy an experiential learning opportunity in both ocean & jungle. This offering is part-training and part-retreat. All meals and resort lodging are included in the fee, as well as shuttle to and from airport. Airfare to Liberia is not included in cost and suggested arrival is July 4.
